◎ With over 30 years of clinical and research experience in ophthalmology, Professor Chen has accumulated extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of various common and complex ocular fundus diseases. He specializes in surgical and laser management of age-related macular degeneration, macular hole, epimacular membrane, macular edema, various choroidal and fundus vascular disorders, high myopia-related fundus lesions, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous hemorrhage and opacity, as well as other complicated fundus diseases, including laser and surgical treatment for central retinal vein occlusion, photodynamic therapy, anti-angiogenic drug therapy, and diagnosis and treatment of intraocular tumors and fundus degenerative diseases.

◎ Recipient of the Second Class Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, First and Second Class Prizes of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, and Second Class Prize of Huaxia Science and Technology Progress Award. He has edited and co-authored more than 20 ophthalmological monographs and published over 300 academic papers in various domestic and international journals.
