Fundus Diseases Department
The Fundus Diseases Department is equipped with internationally advanced ophthalmic examination and treatment devices. It was among the early adopters in China of minimally invasive vitrectomy (25G, 27G), intra-scleral fixation of intraocular lens, posterior scleral reinforcement for high myopia, macular surgery, artificial vitreous sphere implantation, treatment for retinal artery occlusion, intraocular injection, as well as various fundus laser treatments including YAG laser vitreolysis for floaters. It provides professional and high-quality ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment services for patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, optic nerve diseases, uveitis, as well as those with complicated and severe fundus disorders such as high myopia and serious ocular trauma.
Ocular Surface and Cornea Department
The Ocular Surface and Cornea Department of Beijing Aier Intech Eye Hospital is led by Professor Shaowei Li, a renowned corneal disease specialist and doctoral supervisor, who has assembled an experienced clinical team. Integrating clinical treatment, postgraduate education and high-level scientific research, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art international diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. It performs a full range of corneal surgeries, including artificial corneal transplantation, amniotic membrane surgery and conjunctival surgery. The department boasts extensive experience in treating complex corneal conditions and dry eye syndrome, such as corneal transplantation, pterygium, keratitis, infectious corneal diseases, keratoconus and bullous keratopathy. Glaucoma, Cataract & Neuro-Ophthalmology Department
Cataract Department adopts international-standard diagnosis and treatment procedures and is equipped with cutting-edge equipment. It provides femtosecond laser-assisted phacoemulsification, trifocal intraocular lens implantation and other procedures. It features the original LSW2 intraocular lens power calculation formula and the innovative femtosecond cataract surgery technique that uses the anterior lens capsule to protect the corneal endothelium. Glaucoma Department provides medical, laser and surgical treatment for all types of glaucoma, including complicated glaucoma and congenital glaucoma.
Refractive Surgery Department
Refractive Surgery Department performs a variety of myopia correction surgeries, including corneal laser surgery and intraocular lens implantation. It corrects refractive errors and presbyopia such as myopia (50–1800 degrees), astigmatism (50–600 degrees), and hyperopia (below 600 degrees). In addition, it provides comprehensive and high-quality solutions for complex therapeutic refractive conditions, including refractive errors after corneal transplantation and residual refractive errors following cataract surgery.
Optometry Department
Optometry Department offers a full range of medical optometry services, including juvenile myopia prediction and management, medical orthokeratology (OK lens), rigid gas permeable contact lens (RGP) fitting, soft contact lens (SCL) fitting, scleral lens fitting, binocular vision examination and visual function training, low vision rehabilitation, and adult spectacle refractive correction. Traditional Chinese Medicine Department
Traditional Chinese Medicine Department provides TCM treatment (including Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture) as well as integrated Chinese and Western medicine for common and complicated ophthalmic diseases.These include moderate to severe dry eye syndrome, recurrent viral keratitis, allergic eye diseases, scleritis, early-stage cataract, diabetic eye diseases, macular edema, macular degeneration, retinal artery and vein occlusion, retinitis pigmentosa, vitreous opacity, optic nerve diseases, paralytic strabismus, hordeolum, chalazion, blepharospasm, and myopia in children and adolescents.
Plastic Surgery & Lacrimal Duct Department
Plastic Surgery & Lacrimal Duct Department currently provides diagnosis, treatment and plastic repair for eyelid and orbital diseases, including trichiasis correction, ptosis correction, double eyelid blepharoplasty, double eyelid revision, blepharoplasty for eye bags, senile skin laxity correction, epicanthus plasty, as well as trauma and tumor resection surgeries. Adhering to the concept of "functional restoration as the premise and natural aesthetics as the guarantee" for eyelid disorders and ocular plastic surgery, the department continuously introduces equipment such as radiofrequency ablation and various lasers, as well as new surgical techniques.
