◎ Research interests and achievements: Long engaged in research on neuro-ophthalmology and neuroimmunology. Since publishing the first clinical research paper on optic neuritis in 1998, he has authored nearly 40 clinical articles in Chinese and international academic journals, including Chinese Medical Series journals. He was the first to report internationally the classification of Behçet’s syndrome-related perineuritis and imaging-confirmed GFAP antibody-positive optic neuritis.

◎ Specialties: Etiological classification, diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of optic neuritis/optic neuropathy (including various antibody-positive and multiple sclerosis-related optic neuritis, perineuritis, systemic disease–related optic neuropathy especially Behçet’s syndrome, ischemic optic neuropathy, hereditary optic neuropathy, and optic neuropathy of other causes); diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmoplegia. He has particularly rich clinical experience in optic neuritis and related demyelinating diseases, perineuritis, primary optic Behçet’s disease, rare hereditary optic neuropathy, ischemic optic neuropathy and other complicated disorders.

◎研究方向及成果：长期从事神经眼科学、神经免疫学的研究。自1998年首次发表视神经炎临床研究论著以来，在中外学术期刊、中华系列杂志等出版临床论著近40篇。首次在国际上报道白塞综合征相关视神经周围炎分类、以及影像学证实的GFAP抗体阳性视神经炎。

◎擅长：视神经炎/病的病因分类、诊治和长期管理（包括各种抗体阳性及多发性硬化相关视神经炎、视神经周围炎、系统性疾病特别是白塞综合征相关视神经病、缺血性视神经病、遗传学视神经病、及其他原因视神经病）；眼肌麻痹诊治。尤其在视神经炎及相关脱髓鞘疾病、视神经周围炎、原发视神经白塞、罕见遗传性视神经病、缺血性视神经病及其他疑难杂病积累了丰富的临床经验。
